would you complain?

Hi Glitzy, did you have any concerns about his behaviour before the problem at the group? I just wondered because sometimes when others make comments like that you can quite easily start believing it. The fact is if children are in an excitable environment then they will take full advantage of it. This is the responsibility of the group to ensure that every possible safety precaution is taken to ensure all children are safe. You mentioned that your CM saqys he is well behaved there, surely she w...

** POTTY TRAINING **

I had a breakthrough with Ella, I was intending to start her at the beginning of last week. A couple of days before it, she told me she wanted a wee and has been on the potty ever since. She had one accident where she had a poo on the floor but other than that she has been great!

Come on how is it being a mum to a 2 year old?

Im not doing too bad with the tantrums. I use the naughty chair but she ends up in there most of the time lol. I ask her if she is going to be good when her 2 mins is up and sometimes if she is feeling particularly defiant, she says NOOO. It makes me laugh when its bed time too. I say come on ella time for bed, She answers, No its too early, simpsons hollyoaks first. I only have it on in the background while she is playing and getting ready for bed but she expects it before bed now.

books for children

Have you seen the books by Nick Sharratt and Stephen Tucker. They do all thre traditional fairy tales in rhyming format. We have a big one with Goldilocks, cinderella and Red Riding Hood in one book but we also have three pigs, jack and the bean stalk and billy goats gruff. They are excellent, very colourfull and have a mixture of lift the flap and pop up pics in them.

when do they stop wearing vests?

I would also say when you want too. E stopped wearing them before her first birthday as Rivka said it was when the warm weather started.

Removing nappy/pj's in bed!!

Has she done it since V? I have a nightmare with E doing this. Gaffer tape really is the way forward. Unfortunately E has sussed this out too, she takes them off like a pull up. Such fun!

Notice for returning to work

as missy says, it seems that they have updated your contract without informing you. Its possible that if this has changed after you went on mat leave that this would not affect you. Contact your local cab before getting back to work and see if thats the case.

Waking through the night....STILL!!!

That is quite a lot to do all at once. I would be tempted to sort out the bedtime routine before going into a bed. I would really reccomend the controlled crying vic it works a treat. At the moment, C will be waking out of habit rather than actual need through the night. She needs to learn that if she wakes, she can just settle herself back off to sleep. So how to do it.. First I would really stick to bedtime at a set time. then for through the night, when C wakes just leave it for a couple of m...

Waking through the night....STILL!!!

Hi vic, have you thought about losing the dummy through the night? If she hasnt got it to start with, she cant wake up cos she has lost it. That is easier said than done I know but it might be worth looking into? All I can tell you is what ive done with Ella from the start. Bed time is 7pm no matter what, when her dad has her he knows that this shouldnt be different. Do you do controlled crying through the night?
