NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Hi all! Ashatar we were given a poddlepod to try and we sometimes use it during the day. My son is 10lb14 and already it is very small. The poddle pods are not recommend for night time sleeping. We also have sleepyheads for the twins and they are by far our best buy yet, they sleep so soundly in them and have been tested (although not in the UK) for night time sleeping x How is everyone else doing? Xx

Vote for sleepyhead

I would like to vote for the sleepyheads! We didn't get moses baskets as we decided to co sleep the twins in a cotbed in our room and use bouncers downstairs during the day. About 2 weeks in due to the lack of sleep (we'd put them down and they'd wake up immediately) we got 2 sleepyheads! They are like magic! We put them in the cots at night time and on the floor in the lounge during the day! They sleep really well in them. Our twins are 12 weeks tomorrow and they are still our best purchase! Xx...

Iron supplements twin pregnancy

I've just been taking pregnacare, my iron levels had fallen at last blood test so they are rechecking them again next week to see if I need a suppliment. I was low on vitamin D before pregnancy so I take extra vit D and calcium and thyroxine and Aspirin! Tyring to space them out is a nightmare!

28 week growth scan concerns advice please ladies

Thanks for your replies, Had a scan at 30 weeks and both have continued to grow along the same line so they are not as concerned. Twin 1 on 7th percentile and twin 2 on 10th percentile so both still small at 2lb12oz and 3lb3oz but growing non the less! How are you and the girls doing Clarabell? My twins are di/di so don't share anything xx

** THIRD TRIMESTER CHAT **

Hi Heather and Rachel, Seems so surreal to be posting here now! 31+3 today! Twin 1 was head down at last scan and twin 2 was transverse but judging by shape now i'd guess has gone back breech. Getting very frequent braxton hicks now which stop me in my tracks otherwise i fear i may pee! I only have to stand or walk a few paces and it comes on straight away! Glad I've finished work! Rachel any news on your little pink one turning? Heather that's a really good size! At 28 week scan they were conce...

28 week growth scan concerns advice please ladies

Anyone been in the same boat? Had growth scan today and twin 1 who was on 50th percentile at 20 week scan is now below 10th percentile and twin 2 who was on 50th percentile is just over 10th percentile. Twin 1 estimated weight 2lb2oz, twin 2 2lb7oz. Consultant concerned enough to get me back next week for rescan and following week too and had to stay and have trace done today. Trace was fine on both, placenta flow was fine on both and fluid level fine around both.

Pregnacy discharge

I've had this pip with a tinge of yellow, a tinge of green (very pale) and creamy. Sometimes loads of it, I would rush off thinking I was bleeding and it would be a big snotty blob of discharge! That's grossed me out typing this sorry for TMI!

IDENTICAL TWINS- ( MCDA TYPE)

Ah wow congratulations on your twincesses! How lovely to be on team pink! No experience of this but stay calm, and follow the advice. Although mine are a bit bigger now there are 3oz between them and although the scans do their best sometimes you just get a better angle with one than the other and that can make a big difference Xxx

Count the kick with twins

Did have odd fluttery feelings around 16 weeks but around 19 weeks I could feel definite babies. Even at 20 week scan though they were moving and couldn't feel the movements I could see on screen. They will be wiggling soon enough x

Count the kick with twins

Hi all, Just wondering how the count the kicks works with twins. I get a lot of movement on my left side, middle, bottom of my bump and then someone kicks my cervix regularly too. There is a baby on the right (but also an anterior placenta) but I very rarely feel that one or at least I don't think I do as I don't really know which way up they are or who can reach where. Worried about righty a bit but I've only really had a couple of days when I've been certain that kicks are from that twin. But ...
