Gestone injections... numb patches?

Hey ladies... Random thread.... I am using gestone injections as progesterone hasn't been working for me this cycle. Anyway, I quickly found out that OMG the injections hurt so much more than stimms. My gp has prescribed emla cream so I can number the area before I inject. But something weird is happening... I have noticed that I have numb patches around my hip/tip of my thigh/buttock area. But never at the injection site. Is this normal? I had a steroid injection into my coccyx a few months ago...

Cefalexin at nearly 5 weeks pregnant. Anyone taken it for a UTI so early on?

Hello! I was extremely prone to UTI's before I had my daughter. Like to the point I had 15 infections in one year. I was immune to many antibiotics and the one I could take was the strongest. I was so worried about this, but my doctor reassured me and said that the cure is far more safe for a baby than the infection. Ironically, I was taking antibiotics for a water infection while I was on my 2ww. I thought I had OHSS as I had awful abdominal pain. Turned out to be my bladder. Anyway, long story...

leaky Nappy issues... HELP

Hello! My little miss sleeps on her tummy. Since her appetite has increased during a recent growth spurt, she has started to really soak her nappies. To the point that she now leaks out of the front and through her vest and babygro. Sometimes she manages this in as little as 3 hours!!! It is really starting to interfere with her sleep as she used to be able to sleep for up to 6 hours in one go. Now she wakes up cold and wet due to the leaks... poor thing. I have tried pampers baby dry... i even ...

Advice needed from cloth bum mums.....

Hey ladies I am using cloth/ reusable napppies and have a question. I have been told to wash the nappies, boosters and liners in non bio, on a 40 degree wash, with no fabric softner and then to line dry. Now I do not have a garden, so must resort to drying them on the radiator. A clothes horse will not dry them quickly enough as I need them daily as you will understand. Here comes problem number 2... I only have 1 radiator that i am able to use to dry the nappies because the others are in bathro...

Raspberry leaf tea and IVF?

How odd... I have been drinking one cup a day for the past week or so after it was recommended...but when the NCT woman said not to drink it if you have had IVF i now worry i shouldn't be...... I don't see how IVF pregnancies would be effected by some herbs lol

Raspberry leaf tea and IVF?

Hey ladies I just had a quick question, I went to an ante natal class at the weekend and they discussed raspberry leaf tea...in the description provided it said you should not drink it if you have conceived via IVF? I asked the coordinator why this was and to be honest she gave me a unsure look and said she guessed it was because there was not enough research...but surely there must be more to it than that?

Restless Leg Syndrome is Driving me Nuts!

Hey Gracie I can knit a little....but very basic! I could probably make a rather pathetic scarf with lots of dropped stitches ha ha. You are right though, if i manage to distract myself from it, it does go away. I wonder why it happens???? I used to get it occassionally before I was pregnant but only when I was very very tired and sat for a long time i.e on a plane journey etc At least once baby is born, if it carries on I can take stuff for it. GP said you can get quienine tablets that make it ...

Restless Leg Syndrome is Driving me Nuts!

Hey gracie...the iron tablets have definitely helped but sadly it hasn't gone away completely. I have been having a warm bath every night before I get in bed, drinking tonic water, warm milk before bed etc but some nights I am still doing ballet poses in the middle of the room stretching my legs lol I have also taken to sitting and bouncing on my birthing ball while watching tv instead of sitting still! Please tell me it goes away after baby is born!

pelvic floor exerciser....advice??

Hey ladies I wonder if you can help... I have reached that point in my pregnancy now where sneezing and coughing is becoming a bit of a problem....I am sure most of you know what I am referring to. I was told that a pelvic floor exerciser can help. After googling them I found that there are millions, all varying in price and I have no idea which one to get or what I should be looking for. Do any of you have one? Which one is it and does it work?

Restless Legs Syndrome - what works for you?

Hey Ladies I know different things work for different people, and there are various remedies out there for RLS. But I was thinking it would be good for everyone to put down what they do to help ease RLS so that it might help someone else. I for one have been getting it more and more as my pregnancy goes on and have been trying hot baths (which does work sometimes but not always), stretches I learnt at yoga, drinking tonic water (which i am debating works at all lol), massage. I am also starting ...

Visiting the delivery suite - advice

Hey ladies, Just a general question...I am going for a tour of the delivery suite at my local maternity hospital tomorrow. My midwife says it will help me decide on where I want to give birth etc. I have no idea what to expect or what to ask so wondered if any of you ladies had done your tour already? I know I want to ask how many birthing pools they have (and if it's common that there isn't one available etc) but don't really know much else. What kind of things did you ask? Is there anything im...
