Going Public

I have fed EVERYWHERE!! Even at the supermarket till when I had to. Something I did when they were tiny and I was still getting the hang of things was put a muslin over my shoulder so that it draped down over baby's head a little and then people couldnt really see. I also found tops which I could pull DOWN better as I didnt want to get my tummy out to the world! I have NEVER had ANYONE say a word and Ive fed three - sod it whip them out - you are much more likely to get looks of annoyance if bab...

Disposable knickers or cheap cotton knickers

I found them useful after normal delivery but with the section obviously you are lying down most of the time in bed til you get to move a bit and I found that disposable knickers in august in the heat in a bed made for a bit of a sweat rash which was terribly itchy!!! Get the cheap cotton ones and just bin them if it gets too messy!! I found toilet wipes really handy when going to the toilet to change pads. A bit of a freshen up!

First Food recipes!!

Love the photo Jess!! Just havent tried her on dairy or meat yet, wanted to introduce things slowly is all. She is on gluten now and seems fine on it, although she has now got excema - do you think that could be related?..... Hmmm..... son has it too though so not sure...... I think you are not supposed to give dairy products til 6 months (feel free to correct me if I am wrong!) and she is only 7 months so just not got round to it. My others loved petit filous though so maybe should give those a...

Baby Loosing Weight

Poor you Samd, DD had a rash and was dragged up to A&E at about the same age - and yes they told me it was a virus too and would leave after about 4 days, which it did. Scary though isnt it - she was not happy mummy kept pressing a glass against her tummy!

Baby Loosing Weight

DD lost weight too and she's a right little porker now, dont worry you are doing a great job with the breastfeeding, it just erm, slips out the other end quite fast ha ha!! As for the health visitors they all do that concerned head tilt thing and yes, you do immediately think youve been put on the "at risk" register - you havent, they see it all day every day, dont worry. So long as she feeds, wets and poos and has some alert (read: crying) time she is going to be fine. xxxxx
