Mucus plug & show questions

Yes - I did have a bit more last night. My Braxton Hicks are quite strong but not painful at all, so don't think labour is that close but I do so wish it was. I hope so much for a natural birth. I hae agreed with my cons that I wouldn't be induced again but thta would obviously mean another section if I was v late. xx

Show? (TMI)

I think I had a show yesterday, but I am not altogether sure. I'll describe. It was a clear jellyish mass, but not 'plug' shape as I imagined, rathermore stringier, like VV thick discharge. No pinkish tinge to it either. Since then and before I have had a big increase in discharge (all clear or milky). Sorry for this post, but as labour didn't happen naturally last time I'm still clueless and would so dearly love to have a VBAC. I've had 2 sweeps already. Thankyou.

Hi Ladies Just a bit fretful. baby was head down is now lying transverse. After having my head around VBAC, now talking about possible section being offered or a 3/4 turn (sounds horrid). Anyone offer any advise/ reassurance. Andypink (36 weeks and 3 days) PS If anyone can fix my broken ticker I'd be v grateful!!

matress protector for toddler bed

Can anyone help? DD has one of those 'growing toddler beds from ikea, whereby you add an extra bit of mattress and move the wooden slats as you need to. The problem is there is no matress protector for sale in ikea and after poor dd was sick a couple of weekends ago, we realised that we really o need one. Anyone know where I can get one? xx

Toddler big bed saga!

Having said that I moved DD into a bed in a new room which she'd help to set up & paint etc. We have good nights and not so good nights. I am already in a bad habit of staying with her till she drops off as otherwise I can see supernanny style scenarios. However if she wakes in the night I just take her back to her bed which may take anywhere between 1 & 7 attempts!!

semi skimmed milk

Am thinking of moving DD onto semi skimmed milk as she drinks quite a lot and isn't a great eater, in the hope that it wont fill her up as much. Am I right in thinking that is fine from age 2? x

towels

Hello DD is really too big for her baby towels (aged 2!) and besides I want to put them away for baby. Has anyone come accross inexpensive but still nice and snuggly hooded towels that would do 2-5 year olds? I bought a couple from boos but they weren't cheap and aren't really that big. I don't really want over the head/ tabbard style I'd rather they were just normal ones with a hood. x
