Gestone injections

Hi Louise Yes I have had them and no bleed. You inject in top quartile of your bum..into the muscle. Hubbie can do it for you...it's painful..needle is big but you get used to it. No need for doctor to do it. X

NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Hi. I use blankets in the day all the time and occasionally at night. As Dusky said tuck them tight under arms so no lifting up over the face. If baby is a kicker then leave feet free as well if you are worried. Hope this helps x

NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Hmmm post pregnancy shape eh.....pah !!!! I still have 2 stone to loose and am no where near shifting a pound. I have really stiff ankles since pregnancy and I still have piles Other than my tummy looking like a bag of spuds all is fine .... still I get DS and that's the main thing. Still waiting to wean as DS is not 4 months yet so I have the joy to come. I am already starting to worry about back to work and having to get childcare. Struggling to justify leaving him with strangers

DS started teething for about 5 days then it stopped. The MW said it is the teeth moving below the gums and will stop and start for months. dS was irritable, crying and had upset tummy. He was also dribbling a lot. He was about 9 weeks at that stage so not too early at all !

NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Hi Louise Exactly the same here. Once you think you have it sussed it goes back. DS started doing 2/4/6am for a few nights and he only used to wake once. He also seems to drink less and won't fill up. They have growth spurts all the time as dusky said. It's all normal. Just really tiiiirrrriiiinnnggggg!!!! Question from meS is 11 weeks now. Should I be having a going to bed routine? He still goes to bed with us and sleeps downstairs and we take him up with us. He is cranky from 7pm and this is w...

NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Hi All Louise - I still have DS in with me but he doesn't really make any noise at night so once he is asleep we all sleep through. He is already getting big for his Moses basket though so that will probably be the factor that gets us to move him. I am not looking forward to it though. I want him with me all the time Sasha - can't hel with the weaning as DS too young. I did have a demo though from the HV and they say just go with the flow of what you eat from 6 months and what you say before tha...

NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Ahhh thanks girls, I feel so much better now I have been struggling with my feelings a lot. I too think someone is going to take him away from me and say I am not doing it right etc DH looks at like I am mad and says I am a great mum etc but I can't help feel that this happens to other people and not us. It just still hasn't sunk in. I am also stressing about getting PND. I know I am fine but am trying to find the "something wrong" in all this because I can't believe it is all going right. Sasha...

NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Hi Sasha. Thanks for the reply. I will get those tomorrow when I am back in UK. I stress about giving DS anything - only had calpol twice. I was thinking about on Eastenders years ago when Little Mo went to prison for giving her baby calpol to help him sleep !! I think I am neurotic !! I have baby groups and friends etc that I see so am not house bound at all. Just feels so different to who I was before. Not that I am complaining but it still affects you, if you know what I mean x DS sleeps with...

NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Hi All Can I jump in here again please ? I find it difficult with the DH situation. So far DS has been very good so it has not been easy for us but not too stressfull either. I do the night feed and DH does the early morning before work and while the routine works it works....however he started coming home later etc and now arrives about 7pm which doesn't give me any relief from the day considering I bearly see a soul all day as we live away from family. I don't moan because I know he finds it d...

BFP (Twins) IVF 2 years ago, poor responder then - am I crazy to try again?

Hi. I agree with Rianon, that's not a poor response. All my cycles have been similar to yours getting 7-9 etc. it is quality that is important and you have quality there in spades. It is crazy that after trying for so long to have our first baby (ies) that we will go through it again...but I am already thinking the same and I promised myself I would settle just for my one miracle. Xx Good luck with whatever you decide. X

Hungry baby formula

Hi Louise. Had this very conversation with HV last week. She said that it may fill up the baby but it is not proven that it works etc and to steer clear. She also said that the baby needs the milk so just up the dose. I was thinking that I was over feeding etc but she said you can't over feed baby will just be sick. (thought I might burst his little tummy...lol ) Hope this helps x
