NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Hello I found you guys! I'm having a desperate day.I've been exclusively breastfeeding for the past 10 days since Carlos and Rio were born, the pain has improved 100% but I'm properly feeling lost with no end to the constant feeding. I haven't put a routine in place yet as I haven't had time to look at the books and info i had gathered when pregnant. Anyone have any good routine tips for twins? My babies take ages to feed and are really fussing around at the moment so it's hard to tandem feed. I...

** SECOND TRIMESTER CHAT **

Hi ladies Sorry for being awol I'm just coming out of the extreme exhaustion from 3 day labour! I started naturally the Monday last week and was induced Wednesday. In hospital all that time waiting in hospital on gas & air. Hahaa. Boys are amazing though and 100% worth it- Carlos was 7lb 6.5 oz and Rio was 6lb 2 oz. Hope you ladies are all okay, I'll catch up properly when I get a spare min to do personals. Clarabell- please give me your wisdom on routine as my house is like a crazy vortex of mi...

Thanks ladies. I went in on Sunday to start induction with a pessary. The midwife examined me and found I was already dialated enough to get waters broken. But they only do that on the labour ward. The labour ward has a list of 12 people waiting for induction so I was sent home. I'm to ring up every morning to ask if there is room for me. Meanwhile I've had 2 sweeps done - hopefully they'll get things moving naturally. Awful pressure the hospital is under- I can't believe the scale of the fundin...

How to improve sperm

Hi sasha My husband went to see a Chinese herbalist and took Chinese herbs for 3 months along with the usual wearing looser boxers, no cycling, no laptops close the family jewels etc. he stopped drinking for 3 months as well. And he stopped taking whey protein- which he took after gym sessions. We both went to reflexology- which was lovely but Not sure how much it helped! It helped loads I can't remember the number count increase but it was significant. So much so that the consultant asked what ...

erythromycin antibiotics pregnancy

Just tying up this post in case anyone looking for advice in the future. As I had voiced concerns about the risks of this antibi my obstetrician looked Into the bacteria that had been identified further. Staphylococcus auereus. He hadn't found any evidence of me needing to clear this particular infection as it was light growth only- even though hospital protocol was to treat any infection identified. We decided to leave it a week and re-swab to see how it had developed. I had another swab a week...

Hiya Net I'm doing good thanks just taking it v v easy- hope you're well. I had a scan on Friday & both babies are 95th percentile for heads and abdomens so was really happy. The movement thing used to drive me bananas with trying to work out if both babies were kicking. I was sent up for monitoring at hospital once and then as soon as they hooked me up, both babies were kicking and moving like crazy kicking the monitors off my belly. So embarrassing! Hope everyone else is doing good. Pip that s...

Bruised feeling top of bump/rib

Hi ladies I'm not sure whether to call the midwife about this or not. The top of my right rib under my boob is really sore. It feels bruised to the touch and hurts when I breath in. One of my babies is a big bump right up there so it's either a bum or a back nestling in. Did anyone else have this? I'm guessing it's just the baby right there causing pressure on my ribs but haven't been warned of it before so it's out of the blue. Thanks Xx

I booked an appointment with obstetrician to discuss the statement about that antibi on royal college of obstetricians website. I came away a lot happier and will take it if I need it at next swab. He told me that it was regularly prescribed in sheffield maternity ward at all gestational weeks. I asked him if he'd prescribe it his wife if she was pregnant and needed it, he said yes of course. He was really open to talking about my concerns so if you have any worries at all get in touch with your...

Yes I'll ask my midwife and plan on taking one each for journey home. Ladies can I ask does everybody have days where they feel their bump heavy and generally feel like crap? Is it just me? All the twin pregnancy ladies I've met over the past few weeks seem to be loving everyday and really active. Makes me feel so inadequate and then start to worry there's something wrong. Feel better today though so I'm sure it's just my body in pregnancy. Xxxxx

Hi ladies What a beaut of a day here in sheffirld. Hope you're all well! Clare how are you BH's getting on? Just back from seeing obstetrician and he's decided we wait snd see if the infection gets worse rather than treating right away. Back in two weeks and being monitored for it every couple of weeks. Feel so much better having had the conversation as there are alternative antibiotics I can take which he was totally open to if I need them. My emal is tanbis26@yahoo.com- Tania Bustamante- but t...
