Embryo grading at rfc

Hi my time The rfc said mine was a 4bc and from what I understood 'a' was the best quality but I think most have some fragmentation so are graded b or c. Mine was successful so try not to get too hung up on the grading (I know it's easier said than done-I googled like mad!!) Fingers crossed for you x

1 embryo or more in RFC?

Hi fingers crossed. Ours was male factor too( turned out my thyroid was a bit underactive also) and on the first transfer we only had 2 good/average grade embryos at day 3 which were both transferred-consultant decided this. On the second transfer we had higher grade blastocysts so the consultant recommended a single transfer. Both these transfers were negative. On the 3rd transfer it was actually the consultant who suggested transferring 2 (we had 3 frozen) but my husband and I decided to only ...

success story with early blast FET

Hi shabash. Just wanted to wish you luck for your fet. I haven't been on Fz for a while but I had a fet in Aug 2015 (after 2 fresh cycles-both negative) and it was 5bb when frozen which decreased in quality to 4bc after thawing. I was basically told I had a chance but not to get my hopes up... Well my 4bc blastocyst is now a healthy, happy 7 month old baby girl currently fast asleep in her cot! It can happen, so don't get too hung up on quality.

Reflexology acupuncture

Hi pb, I made a few changes to my diet -mainly cut out junk as much as possible, very little alcohol and lots of protein (chicken, fish and eggs) in the few months coming up to egg collection. I took Royal jelly and bee propolis for 3 months before collection along with co q10tablets. Apparently it takes 3 months to improve egg quality. I also took pregnacare and omega3 supplements. All this along with acupuncture were the differences between my first and second cycle. For my successful frozen tr...

Reflexology acupuncture

Hi girls I had acupuncture for my second and third cycle (3rd was successful-frozen transfer) and it really helped me relax. My egg quality was so much better on my second cycle compared to my first but I had made a few other changes so can't say for definite what worked! I went to Sharon Campbell in Belfast who is trained in fertility acupuncture. Best of luck x

** THIRD TRIMESTER CHAT **

Hi hello I was induced at 39 plus 3 as the consultant thought the baby was going to be big (she was 9lbs 4oz!) as well as the fact that we had ivf. My daughter was born healthy and well although I ended up needing a section in the end! Hope everything goes well for you, I'm sure you can't wait to meet your baby-not long to go xx

Going private after positive FET

Do you have a date for your scan at rfc? I had to wait until 8 weeks but got one with Alyson at 7 weeks. It's amazing seeing the wee heartbeat for the first time! Xx

Going private after positive FET

Hi Hopeful Congratulations!! I also had success on my FET after 2 failed ICSI attempts. I am currently 30 weeks pregnant and attend 352 group (Alyson Hunter) on the Lisburn Road. I could not fault the clinic and get regular scans and bloodwork checks. It's reassuring to have a consultant after waiting so long to get to this stage. I know it's a lot of money but worth it for me for the peace of mind. If you don't decide to go private I think you have to contact your GP as the RFC will discharge y...

Eeva

Hi Lindsay, I had a free round of ICSI which was unsuccessful and unfortunately we had no embryos to freeze. On my second cycle we did things differently e.g. Used EEVA, had the endo scratch, had acupuncture, took pregnacare and Omega 3 and although our second cycle was also unsuccessful we noticed a big difference in embryo quality the second time around. I am currently 23 weeks pregnant from a frozen embryo transfer from the second cycle and while I couldn’t say what made the difference I do b...

Hi jol and hello! Good to see some new faces I found it strange telling people as we've waited so long for this and it was always us doing the congratulating up until now! Our wee one was fast asleep at the 13 week scan but at 17 weeks was bouncing and wriggling all over the place! Shortie is scary how quickly time is flying by. I'm 19 weeks now!! Xx
