Hi everyone, new here and feel a bit of a fraud...

Hi Liz, I just wanted to say please don't feel like a fraud. Maybe you should feel proud of yourself instead? You've been brave and gone to the doc's to get the medical side of things looked at and you've joined FZ to get some emotional support and share your experience with others. Good for you. I wish you the best of luck for your upcoming tests. X

New to all this

Hi Zoe, I'm new to this site too and I've been blown away by how kind and supportive I've found everyone to be. My family don't really know what to say to comfort me, and although my friends have been supportive and sympathetic, nothing beats the encouragement and advice given by FZ members who have been through the same as you and really understand how you feel. A couple of other things to say: don't beat yourself up about not going to your GP sooner. My DH and I went after six months - don't l...

Naturally pregnant after infertility and pregnancy losses - nervous wreck!!!

Hi butterflybee, I'm sorry if my first posting wasn't very positive - I think I was a bit shocked to find someone so similar and I'm quite new to this (or any) forum. You seem much more together than me and you are right about lots of things - it is understandable that we feel this way and we can only take one day at a time. Someone else wise has told me to try to keep busy and distracted, which is good advice because otherwise you could go crazy with all the wondering and waiting. I hope your G...

Naturally pregnant after infertility and pregnancy losses - nervous wreck!!!

Hi butterflybee, I'm not sure that I've got anything useful to say other than I know exactly how you feel. DH and I have been ttc for over two and a half years. The fertility tests showed no problems. We decided to have IVF a year ago but lost the baby at 13 weeks. I then got pregnant naturally earlier this year but had a m/c at five weeks. We had been thinking about having another round of IVF or using some of our snow babies but then, just like you, we discovered I was pregnant naturally (seve...

ICSI/ Exeter- Help and Support... Please read and help

Hi H & E, I know how you feel about the weight gain - I put on some weight over the course of about 10 months when I had a round of IVF and two m/cs. For me I don't think it was the drugs, it was being so sedentary whilst everything was going on. Putting on weight made me feel even more rubbish than I did already but when I eventually started to do something about it, I started to feel better too. I got some professional advice about diet and exercise. As your weight gain is due to the drugs, ha...

Trying to stay positive

Hello everyone, The blood test results came back and everything is ok. I'm so relieved. The tiredness and sickness have returned too. Thank you to you all once again - it really helped to read your kind messages while I was waiting for the results. I was so certain that something had gone wrong last week. It's incredible how much the ttc battle is mental as well as physical. There's a long way to go as I'm only a few weeks pregnant but I'm going to try my best to stay positive and stress free. W...

Trying to stay positive

To everyone that has read my post and responded, Thank you so much for taking the time to post your kind words. I kept crying every time someone new came on to say they understood and to encourage me to stay positive. I will never use those Clearblue tests again. I am having a blood test today and then another on Saturday. I will let you know how it goes.

Trying to stay positive

Hi all, I've not done anything like this before but I came across this site today and all the lovely messages of support that people send each other and I wanted to join in. My story doesn't look out of place on this website. It is so sad that so many people experience fertility issues. My husband and I started trying at the beginning of 2010, when I was 33. After nine months of nothing happening we went for some basic tests, which didn't identify any issues. After 18 months of trying, we went f...
