Hi lasses, Thought I'd let you know that my waters went in the early hours of the morning - well I think it was only my hind water as it wasn't that much, but I am continuing to lose a little all the time (sorry tmi!). No full-on contractions yet. Had to head to the mainland on the first ferries this morning and go the hospital for a check, but they seem happy for me to go to my folks until things start happening. So I'm sitting there waiting....having to take my temp every 4 hours to check I do...

Hi lasses, Well just saw the MW and she says things are coming along fine. Head still not engaged but she said that with a second child sometimes it doesn't until you go into labour. But I think mine goes up and down, there wasn't much pressure down there when she was here compared to sometimes So now I just have to wait until I'm nearly 40 weeks and phone the maternity department on the Mainland to arrange my next appointment. It's a weird thought that its really going to happen soon (sorry tha...

Oh my dear lass what a dilemma! Not an easy decision at all. I personally don't like the sound of an infection (I had that when my M/C didn't come away by itself and I was really ill!). That said I have never had a c-section and it is a major thing, especially if you had your heart set on a natural delivery. What are you thinking now, your heart or head coming out on top with any suggestions? How's your DP feel? Sorry I'm not much help I just wanted you to know that we're thinking of you, Cxx

Hi lasses, Just sitting waiting for my ferry home, DD asleep in the back so thought I'd take a minute and catch up! MrsA enjoy you antenatal classes, have to confess I didn't do any, ignorance was bliss! No only kidding I did a lot of reading and for me to go to any it would have meant a 100 mile round trip for each one! Maybe you can pass on any good tips! Net I Pitt York carpal tunnel. I too get numb hands/fingers at night but also get carpal tunnel if I try to do anything too detailed, like k...

Hi lasses, I don't know if any of you remember me from cycle buddies or the first trimester?! I have finished work this week and due to being so pregnant now (code for being huge!) I think thought I'd try and get back into the forum especially since I can't do much else! How is everyone doing? Hi lasses, Good luck today Waylou, let us know how you get on. My 1st IVF I had 2 put back but only one stayed but I did get spotting, but I remember then and with my m/c the midwives saying that your body can sometimes reabsorb it, once it knows it's not going to work of course! I don't understand how but I'm sure that's what they said! MrsA, glad you finally heard from the midwife and have an appointment. AFM - I had more spotting yesterday, bright red too but as usual it stopped as quick as i...

Hi lasses, Mrs A - I think all kinds of discharge is normal! Mrs G - sorry to hear that one isn't growing at the same rate as the other, hopefully you'll get a clearer picture at your next scan. Try to stay +ve Kittenlove - have you been to the Dr yet? Hi girls, How is everyone doing? Net I think the nuchal scan has to be around 12 weeks but can be a bit before or a bit after - I think give or take a week or so, but don't quote me I just wish I was 12 weeks so I could get my next scan! For the last few weeks I have had tiny spots of blood every few days. Today it was a bit more but it has gone again. It's driving me nuts, I want to go to the toilet all the time just so that I can wipe and see if there's anything there, sorry tmi It's getting m...

** FIRST TRIMESTER CHAT **

Hi lasses, I think I am 8w4 - just had to really think about it, I must be starting to relax a bit as I have known instantly until just then!! My 7 week scan was external! But I know from my m/c that if the external one isn't clear they will do an internal one. Well, that's what they do up here anyway! As for exercise, I was told you can continue with anything you normally do, but now may not be the time to START running etc. But I would go with what everyone else says and go with what your body...
