** THIRD TRIMESTER CHAT **

Boo Boo - sorry to hear your baby is breech. My LO was breech aslo and i was gven the same sucess sats etc for the ECV. I was set against it and when to the appointment with the thought that i'd say no to it. However they reassured me that it doesn't hurt the baby at all and that if it doesn;t work I hadn't lost anything. So I let them give it a go. And it worked. It was NO WHERE near as bad as I imagined. Its a personal choice but I would do it again without hestitation. Good Luck!

Wow - it's getting busy in here - lovely :-) Looks like there will be lots of babies soon. Eeeek so exciting :-) I am still in hosp and my bp meds have been significantly increased and it seems to be working but since I'm on quite a hefty dose and I am suffering with other high bp related stuff they have decided to induce me on Sunday. Scary but exciting :-) So I will get to meet my littl lady next week - omg Hope everyone else is good and bps are all nice and low!!! S xxx

Welcome all the newbies to this tri- it's an exciting one:-) Loving all the birthing and breastfeeding chat it's nice to have a busy thread as it was getting quiet in here. Back in hosp again as bp just won't stay normal. Last week it was ace and nicely within the limits. This week shot up agaIn, no wonder my feet are the like an elephants leg. Hope will get out of here tomorrow. hope everyone else is good xxx

Hoping - how about Poang from Ikea? We had an old beige one from way back that looked a little worse for wear (had it about 12 years) and i've dyed the cushions and painted it and it looks really good in the nursery now. New ones I think are about 80 quid and you can get matching footstools. They are very comfy and you can rock them if you want. IKEA | Fabric sofas | Fabric armchairs | POÄNG | Armchair

PGD Chatter

Wow it is busy on this thread now :-) Good luck to everyone cycling at the moment, IVF is hard enough without the added stress of PGD so I hope you're all doing well. Pearl - that's great news you've decided to go with donor eggs - it's not an easy decision to make but we found when you are faced with such slim odd for success the choice is easier. I'm here if you wanna chat.. S xx

Caz - good luck for your induction next week - lovely bump pic. Boo boo - I think i've managed to get away with the stretch marks too. I have only got really big in the last 2 weeks and still my frantic moisturising (i'm sure it doesn't make any difference) has paid off. Even if I did get them now I wouldn't care - they are signs you've cooked a lovely baby -

** THIRD TRIMESTER CHAT **

Oooh Caz 7 days. So exciting. Now I'm 37 weeks and my baby is a giant (last scan 35 weeks and 6lb10) I just want her out. Struggling to get info out of anyone on the impact of high bp on the actual birth. I am hoping that it has zero impact as I'm sick of being checked all the time although on the flip side it is good as I know they are being cautious and it is only this week that it seems the drugs I'm taking are actually the right dose and keeping my bp within normal range for most of the time...

I'm an emotional wreck as well if that makes you feel any better :-) I just want this baby out safe and sound now. I never thought I'd say this as I've been longing to get (and stay) pregnant for so many years now but I am sick of it. I threw a wobbly at the hospital yesterday as I'm so so fed up with going there all the time and they have agreed to step down the intensity of checking up on me ( which I was very glad about) but now I'm concerned that it is too little so they can't win really. I'...

ECV or c section?

So happy she's head down and all is good. Ecv not as bad as I thought and far far better than a section. I would encourage anyone to give it a go. Bring on a normal birth now please :-)

She turned :-)

Hiya Well I went to the clinic yesterday and initially I was dead set against them turning her. But they were so nice I thought I'd have nothing to lose by letting them have a go. So after much fighting with my stomach muscles she turned. So happy :-) nut they made me stay in overnight as currently the cord and 'other stuff' is in the way of her truly being head down. Hopefully that will have shifted this am - apparently it is very rare for it not to move overnight. I really hope it does otherwi...

Fee - we do have the same due date :-) although I'm pretty sure my lo will be here in a couple of weeks as my bp is still playing up and I have horrible headaches a lot of the time. Now this breech thing is here too I'm getting to the point where I just want her born :-) Going to the breech clinc on tues to see about ecv but I have reservations as I don't think it will work and will be horrible for her. I will keep an open mind but the flip side is a section and I'm not keen on that either. I gu...

No signs from me - although my tummy is rock soild but it's been like that for pretty much the whole pregnancy. Beanie is still breach at the moment so that adds another complication to the high BP-not-yet-controlled-by-drugs saga. Still only a little while left now. Emma - I hope your LO makes an appearance soon!! so exicting

Discrepancies in dating scan and IVF dates

Hiya My baby has always been ahead by at least a week (mostly 2) on the scans but they won't change the edd as with IVF they really do know the dates. I would stick to your guns and rely on the dates from IVF. It amazes me the significant differences in policies between hopsitals. Good luck

ECV or c section?

I am just about to turn 36 weeks - the ECV is booked for tuesday. I also have pregnancy hypertension which so far is not playing ball by staying normal with medication so that's a time factor for me as they are very concerned about PE. I really didn't need the extra hassle of her not being the right way up. I don't know why I don't think it will work but I just have a very bad feeling about it. My bump is very compact and does not stick out very much yet my baby is big (scan yesterday almost 7lb...

ECV or c section?

My baby is breech and the hospital have offered an ecv or just go straight to a c section. They say ecv works about half of the time. I'm not over keen on it as I don't think it will work BUT don't really want a c section either. Just wondered if anyone had any experiences of ecv and whether it worked. Thanks Sxx

I've felt my baby hiccuping LOADS. You can really see it from the outside too. If you go on youtube there are loads of videos. Regarding randitine. I have been taking it and it really does work MUCH better than gaviscon (did nothing for me). Your GP should be able to give you some. Will be nice to see some of you guys in the 3rd tri - it is very quiet over there - I think that's why Caz and I are on this threat still Hope everyone's coughs and colds get better soon xx

Advice RE: Breast Pumps and Sterilisers

Hiya We have got the Qunny buzz and although not used it in real terms - i've pushed it round the house with the cat asleep in it (i've covered it with a sheet so no fur, he's not allowed in it now and certainly knows that :-)) and it is very nice. I guess it depends what you want from a pram. Also re Medela, I was at the DAU the other day and happend to be looked after by their breast feeding expert midwife. She really, really recomends medela and says they are the best ones as they can actuall...
