Anyone induced with their twins?

Well done Mea. Really pleased to hear they arrived safely and that you were not induced! Keep well and fill us in with the details when you're home. x

Anyone induced with their twins?

Hi Mea Sounds like something is happening in there! I'm feeling ok, just very uncomfortable due to my shape. I left the hospital quite excited to have a date to work to, but then the prospect of an induction is not very appealing. But I am mindful that if they can stay put for another 10 days then that will be better for them than coming out now.... With a bit of luck I will go into labour on my own at 37 + 1 !!!

Anyone induced with their twins?

Had scan and clinic today which is 35 + 6, the girls weighed in at 4.10lbs and 5.9lbs. Induction booked in for a week on Friday which will be 37 + 2 - unless they decide to make an appearance before then!

Anyone induced with their twins?

My last scan was at 32 weeks 6 days and twin 1 was 3lb 11ozs and twin 2 was 4lbs 7 ozs – both head down. I have my next scan on Tuesday when I will be 35 weeks 6 days so I will speak to my con then about next steps. At the last scan/clinic he said if I get to 37 weeks we will need to plan an induction so I guess we’ll make a plan at Tuesday’s clinic in case they don’t make an appearance within the next 7 days or so. I am the same as you Mea, surprised I haven’t gone into labour naturally already...

Anyone induced with their twins?

I went 11 hours end to end first time round and my waters broke spontaneously at 38 + 1 so I will be surprised if I get as far as that this time since there are 2 in there - but you never know!

Anyone induced with their twins?

Hi Mea I'm in the same boat as you although I'm a week behind you. When was your most recent scan and how are they doing on their weights? Are they both head down? Vivvy

AC Measurement above 95th Centile - advice needed please.

Hi BonBon I could have written your post myself as I had exactly the same happen to me at the 20 week scan and was questionned about whether there was a history of diabetes in the family etc and our little boy turned out just perfect. Try not to worry yourself as I'm sure everything will be just fine. Viv

Cyclogest Pessaries

Hi Nicci That's just the standard protocol at the Nuffield (I was a patient at the same clinic as you), it's 12 weeks for a singleton and 28 weeks for twins. I only have 4 weeks left - hurrah!

IVF and Alchohol!

My last cycle was the first cycle I carried on with life as normal and drunk the whole way through the cycle and now I'm pregnant with twins! My first cycle I lived like a saint for the whole 2 or so months through it and so when it did not work the disappointment was huge so I decided I would not put myself through that again. Everything in moderation, that's what I say. Good luck.

has anyone had a bfp with no implantation bleeding

First pregnancy I had no implantation bleeding whatsoever and then this one I did around day 13 or so, so it obviously varies from one pregnancy to another!

Newbie to the group - choosing IVF clinics

Hi there I've done 7 cycles in total at Woking, 4 fresh and 3 frozen. We have our little boy from a frozen cycle and I'm now pregnant with twin girls from a fresh cycle. Happy with my experiences there and can recommend them. We live on the Hampshire/Surrey border and location was definitely a factor in the decision making since I have had to fit in approximately 50 visits around working full time. I'm sure both are good so perhaps arrange a consultation with each and see which you prefer? Let m...

20 wk scan

Had 20 week scan this week and touch wood all appears well so far. They cannot be 100% sure but it's looking like we're having a double dose of team pink! Really don't mind what was on the cards, just want them to be healthy, although my preference was not to have two boys since I have a gorgeous little man already. However, I was kind of expecting at least one of them to be a boy so now what am I gonna do with all those clothes?!

20 wk scan

My problem is, owning a small but very busy business means no one else is gonna do the work so I’m not going to have the opportunity to have any time off as such. When our little one arrived last August I literally had the weekend off and that was it. I went into labour Friday night, he arrived Saturday morning, I was home on Sunday and then working from home on Monday. My plan this time is to have the nanny in place before their arrival so that it’s all systems go from the outset. The little fe...

20 wk scan

Great news Mea. I've got my 20 week scan next week so we'll see what flavours we have in store. Csam how have you found it with all three? Our little boy will be just 18 months by the time the little one's arrive and I'm feeling a little concerned about how I'm going to cope, especially since I'm a working mum running my own business aswell. I plan to recruit a full time nanny but I'm concerned about getting through the nights and then trying to work during the days.

how soon?

Hiya Gave birth 08/08 last year and then started down regging on 29/12. Managed to get pregnant but unfortunately I miscarried at 6 weeks. Then did another round as soon as practically possible and now 19 weeks preggers with twins. My main reason for trying again so quickly was my age but I see that's not an issue for you as you are a lot younger than me. I must say I'm now rather apprehensive about having 3 under 18 months, but beggars can't be choosers! Plus it was my decision to put 2 back du...

** NUCHAL TRANSLUENCY & DOWNS: CVS/Amnio/NT Measurements questions **

Yes that's correct! The lead consultant at the private clinic who put the two embies in is also the head consultant of midwifery at my nhs hospital (which has a good reputation for delivering babies) and I have a meeting with him next week so I'll quiz him more on the subject and come back to you with any further info.

** NUCHAL TRANSLUENCY & DOWNS: CVS/Amnio/NT Measurements questions **

Hi Cathy The blood tests were often found to give readings that suggested the probability of a problem was higher than it should be because of having twins in there rather than just the one which is nuch more accurate, so my hospital quickly stopped offering the blood tests. Your scan results are very good, as far as they are concerned the thinner the better and yours fit in with the normal ranges which I mentioned earlier - mine were 1.74 and 1.65. I've had one baby and his scan measurement was...

** NUCHAL TRANSLUENCY & DOWNS: CVS/Amnio/NT Measurements questions **

At my hospital the normal range is considered to be between 1.0 - 2.5, anything over 2.5 they would recommend further investigations. As I am having twins they will only do the scan as blood tests often result in false positives so they don't do them anymore.
