Hi! New to all this :) going through 1st icsi cycle, worried about number of fertilised eggs??

Oh yes my dp was in ther holding my hand in his scrubs. Just make sure he prepares the same as you, no smellies, I bought perfume free roll on deodorant and soap for both of us to use. You don't need to rest afterwards, once it's in it can't fall out, just don't put any pressure on your abdomen and don't lift anything too heavy. I think some clinics tell you to rest up but that is for your benefit, firstly coz you've been thro such a stressful time and secondly so you don't give yourself any amm...

Hi! New to all this :) going through 1st icsi cycle, worried about number of fertilised eggs??

I was really swollen after ec, in fact I never lost it, it just turned into a baby bump. The transfer is very quick and painless, it is really emotionl though so good to have someone with you if you can, I had dp both times. Just keep calm and try and enjoy it (if that doesn't sound too weird!). I was elated after my first transfer, couldn't stop smiling all day. Good luck xxx

6 week old only feeding once in the night

Hi, I would discuss any sudden changes with your HV, although sounds ok to me, she sounds like a really good feeder and if her nappies are wet when she gets up then sounds like a natural progression. Give your HV a call to put your mind at rest xx

Worried

Hi Dancer, there's just no way of knowing hun, I take it it's a medicated cycle? If so then the meds can case all sorts of symptoms. The two week wait is a very stressful time and your mind will be in overdrive, please just try and relax and ignore whatever symptoms you have, it'll soon be test day. Good luck xxxx

Retrograde ejaculation - chances of natural pregnancy

Does anyone know what the chances are? Dp has retrograde ejaculation caused by diabetes. A small amount does come out but doesn't 'shoot', just a trickle! Apparently he has really good sperm. Is it able to make the extra journey?

Transfer today hopefully

Thank you all xx. Well emotional day yesterday, finally got the call and only one of my little Frosties survived, is it silly that I was really sad when I should have been over the moon that I had one??? Anyway apparently it was a really good one, not up on the science but it was a 3 day 6 cell which the embryologist was very happy with, so fingers crossed just got to get thought the next two weeks xxx

Transfer today hopefully

Well I'm sat here going mad waiting for the call, terrified that none of my embies will survive. We have three day 3s frozen. This is it, our last go so were thawing all f them. Then there's the decision of he many if more than one survive, don't particularly want a twin pregnancy but better that than none I think! Really worried because you're supposed to avoid flu and I've got a cold and so has my little one but hey what can you do!

Just starting treatment

Well it's been a while since I've been on this site. I have three Frosties and today I took my Prostap injection. I'm so nervous, maybe more so than last time which I guess is a bit crazy but hey that's me lol. It's my last go, we cant afford to do it again so I guess that's why. Anyway just wanted to pop on and say hi, I found this place so supportive last time, I hope you don't mind me using you guys as a crutch again xx

Potty Training Advice Please

Thank you all for your replies, found bits helpful from each of you and I agree, everyone has their own take on things and things def different between countries. I was planning to do the same as you Flic, was happy for things to evolve naturally, but he seems to have sent us spinning in a different direction. He seems ready in some respects (taking the nappy off) then not in others but hey ho i'll get there! Sorry I know I used the term nappies but he is in pullups (I just call them all nappies...

Potty Training Advice Please

Hi All, Wondered if anyone can help. My little boy is 2yrs and 2mths old. He has started taking his nappy off when he needs to go to the loo and does it wherever he is! He doesnt give me any warning, just starts shouting after the event. I've tried asking him if he needs to go to the loo periodically and have even put the potty in the living room where he plays but unless I physically put him on it when he actually needs to go he doesnt use it. It seems like I only have to nip into the kitchen o...

Out & About & Feeding

Hi, made up formula should be used within 2 hours (or at least thats what it says on the one I use, Aptimal). I used to take the ready made bottles out with me, the only problem I found is that Aptimals ready made only comes in 7oz bottles whereas Aiden was taking up to 9oz but I just took extra snacks to compensate. Luckily Aiden was fine drinking it at room temperature. I have used those powder holders but again they dont take 9 scoops but are quite handy. Try both ways and go with what you fi...

Thinking about trying again

Ooh good luck, have everything crossed for you xx Sorry I dont know what FET is, I was lucky enough to only have one cycle and was told we needed ICSI and no other methods were discussed. Can anyone explain it for me please? Pootie, no it was probably me babbling on (I have a tendancy to do that sorry). I would try again with or without frosties because I do want a sibling for Aiden but I also feel I have to try again because I have frosties because to me they are mini Aidens and I just couldnt ...

How much milk at 14 months?

Yeah he definitely eats well, its an ongoing joke at nursery, they always run through how he been and what he's eaten and apart from sandwiches (which he just wont even put to his mouth let alone eat) he polishes everything off, he's never once left anything since he started in early January. May be I should run it past my HV, not that i've seen or spoken to to her since he was about 9 months old but I guess you dont when they get a little older. He does drink water and I buy him Sainsburys own ...
